McDowell Hospital is closely monitoring the spread of H1N1 (influenza A or swine flu). Emergency plans and response services are in place should the outbreak spread to our area. We encourage you to take precautions against H1N1 by washing your hands frequently and seeing your healthcare provider immediately if you have any flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills or fatigue).

The McDowell Hospital: Built By the Community For the Community.

The McDowell Hospital mission is to serve the healthcare needs of our community, giving comprehensive, cost-effective, quality care without regard to race, color, creed or ability to pay.   To be the healthcare choice for all people in our community.

In 2007, I joined The McDowell Hospital as the new President and CEO. I am very happy to have chosen McDowell County as my home. READ MORE   Download our Report to the Community. The free Acrobat Reader is required to view and print this PDF.
